I do not normally run 5K races (in fact-I have never ran a 5K race)...I prefer the "totally and completely" exhausting longer distance races like half and full marathons.....but since I am a home owner and pay taxes in the city of CG, I decided to give this race a shot, and support this awesome town. It was 80 degrees at the start and completely and utterly humid (no exaggeration). I am a runner who really loves 35-60 degree weather-is that really to much to ask :-)But...all ended up good, when I placed 1st in my age group I know! I know! You are wondering how many females were in my age group. I really do not know...all I can tell you, is there was about 100 runners. This photo is with Megan Ochoa-who is a 13 year old from Manhattan, who also placed 1st in her age group (18 yrs and younger-so proud of her!!!)
