I ran the Chicago marathon on Sunday. It was my 2nd time running this race and my 7th marathon. I ran this race in 2007, where it was recorded as the hottest race in history. Yesterday marked the 3rd hottest Chicago marathon.....ARGHH!!! I was hoping for a redemption run with cooler temperatures, and what I found was HOT temps with a nearly 70 degree start and 85 degree finish. But, that was okay.....I was very humbled by this marathon, and just so grateful and blessed to run. What a blessing!!! I also had such a fun time seeing some of my friends run their very 1st marathon (congrats Angie C., Suzy H.,and Mitzi F.)-you are amazing! I want to also mention all my "sweat sistas and brother....Aimee A., Juls G., Ash G., Bob S., Ang C., Ang P-S., Ang. T., Shay H., Judy S. Jen F. Deb F., Kitra S.-you guys make the finish line worth it and you are all amazing men and women.....you also make 4am on Saturday mornings worth it!!!!
